Essay Topics for the Space Odyssey Movie
Essay Topics for the Space Odyssey MovieHere are some essay topics for the Space Odyssey movie. These are not all of them, but should give you a good idea of where to start with the essay topic. The Space Odyssey is set in the future, in a society where it is common for everyone to travel in an orbiting space station, or a space station. Because of this, all citizens are highly ambitious and driven, and hence are perfectly suited to be astronauts. One of the main characters, played by James Doohan, is a human space explorer, who was forced to live and work in this environment as a result of being demoted from the position of high-ranking space captain. What makes this fictitious depiction true is that humans actually developed orbital stations before the Space Odyssey movie was made. This is also true of the life extension technologies that will eventually be adopted in the movie, such as the inflatable life support system (ILS), and liquid oxygen storage tanks (LOTS).Now, there were s erious criticisms leveled at the original movie, such as its depiction of race relations between Earth's human colonists, called 'Spacer', and the ruthless, genetically enhanced, as-yet-unnamed, alien invaders called the 'Kelpians'. The aliens were depicted as dangerous and ruthless, though as we see in the movie, they were actually just opportunistic. The aliens, called the Keltrons, actually planned to conquer Earth in a bloody war to gain a foothold on their home planet. The original film seemed to emphasize the physical danger of the Spacer and the dangers of the Kelpians. This had a detrimental effect on the viewer's perception of human-alien relations, since this was their first contact and as such, they felt extremely threatened and unsafe with these people, despite the fact that the Spacer aliens were all in their pods, or suspended animation. What Peter L. Harris, creator of the movie, did be to introduce some characters of human culture that serve as the driving force of th e plot. He is able to accomplish this because the story is told through a Spacer perspective, so, all humans feel and act out of their emotions, which they cannot express through speech. One of the most important Space Odyssey movie essay topics is the birth of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is a term used to describe the development of artificial general intelligence (AGI), or the ability of a computer program to self-improve. In the context of the Space Odyssey movie, AGI refers to computers with sentience, or the capacity to experience emotions.AI is a long way from becoming a reality, but it is an important concept to look into. It may one day lead to robots who develop their own will, such as Dr. Who's Cybermen, and perhaps even human cyborgs, as well.
